Organise your cure Medical Indications Owing to the quality and composition of it natural mineral water, Contrexéville has been accredited by the Ministry of Health for the following disorders: Pathological conditions of the digestive tract (DT) and metabolic diseases: overweight, obesity, hypercholesterolemia, hyperuricemia (gout) Pathological conditions of the urinary tract (UT): renal lithiasis, the after effects of surgery or renal lithiasis lithotripsy, recurrent urinary infections. .................................................................. Your treatments The accreditation permits two treatment packages at Contrexéville: AU-AD1: (UT-DT1) this package is made up of 72 sessions (on 18 days) including a home drinking cure, baths, general showers, local showers, pelotherapy. 446,79 €* AU-AD2: (UT-DT2) this package is made up of 54 sessions (on 18 days) including a home drinking cure, baths, general showers, local showers, pelotherapy and 18 massage sessions 10'. 535,74 €* AU-AD3: (UT-DT2) this package is made up of 63 sessions (on 18 days) including a home drinking cure, baths, general showers, local showers, pelotherapy and 9 massage sessions 10'. 494,20€* * The above rates are given as a guide and are subject to change in 2008 Nota Bene: traditional cures reimbursed by the Social Security can only take place at the Main Spa.

Only your own physician (GP or specialist) is entitled to prescribe a cure.

1. First step
After your doctor and yourself have filled it in, send the "case management prior request form" to your local social security office. On the form, your physician must mention that the Contrexeville Spa would be suitable as well as the desired treatment: DT or UT. The Social Security will then send you the official agreement for the cure.

2. Third party payer schemes
For 3 week cures (21 days), the Contrexeville Spa has a third party payer agreement with a number of social security offices. To find out whether you are entitled to this scheme, contact our reception desk at +33-(0)3 29 08 03 24. If the answer is positive, hand over your agreement on your arrival at the thermal baths.

3. Before you come
You must first make an appointment with one of the spa physicians who will be in charge of your medical supervision throughout your stay. Secondly, send your cure reservation form to the thermal baths so that we can get everything ready to welcome you. Your reservation will be confirmed and we shall make an appointment at the spa, after your medical examination, to organize your schedule. Remember to book accommodation ; there is a wide choice of hotels, furnished flats and camp sites.

4. On arrival After booking into your chosen accommodation, come to the spa with your prescription at the appointed time and meet your supervising physician. The reception staff will organize your schedule for the duration of the cure.

5. Clothing
Bathrobes and towels used for the cure are supplied by the spa. Bring your own swimwear and a bathing cap. Special sandals must be worn (to be used only inside the spa).
